Human Resources Coordinator (Winnipeg)

KGS Group is looking for a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing company and Human Resources Department.

Our work in Manitoba ranges from the design and construction of major hydro dams to the first large diameter tunneling works in the province to a variety of engineering services for noteworthy local landmarks such as The Forks Riverwalk, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Bell MTS Centre and Birds Hill Lake, to name a few.

The Role

In this role you will play an integral part in coordinating training and career development opportunities for the organization. You will work closely with employees and Department Head’s to manage the employee evaluation process as well as the mentorship program.  You will also support the HR department with communications and working on a wide variety of internal projects. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the monthly lunch n’ learns (KGS Campus).
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training activities.
  • Coordinate the employee evaluation process and the mentorship program.
  • Manage long service awards and assist with developing the employee recognition program.
  • Oversee the social committee and wellness initiatives.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruitment initiatives.
  • Provide an exceptional employee experience for each new employee by onboarding them and integrating them into the KGS culture.
  • Support HR and corporate projects and initiatives as required.

About You

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • You have a Human Resources Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
  • You are a CPHR candidate.
  • You have knowledge of employment legislature and practices.
  • You’re detail oriented, able to multitask and can communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • You are a strong relationship builder and can build trust and rapport with individuals across all departments and levels.
  • You are proactive in identifying new projects and ways to improve processes.
