The Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of matters in support of a small legal team, while interacting with a variety of people with multi-disciplinary backgrounds. You will provide legal administrative support by preparing, maintaining and organizing a wide range of documents and files. This is a full-time position.

As a legal administrative assistant in the Legal Department at KGS Group, you will have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidential information and discretion.  The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to manage deadlines and changing priority as required, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Your Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Providing legal administrative support to the lawyers in the Legal Department
  • Preparing, drafting and mailing various correspondence and documents
  • Comparing legal documents to identify differences
  • Opening, updating (including data entry and scanning of documents), organizing, maintaining and closing legal department files and matters (paper and electronic)
  • Maintaining an efficient electronic and physical file management system
  • Assisting with corporate governance matters
  • Performing general administrative duties
  • Reviewing and revisions of format, spelling and grammar on documents
  • Strong attention to detail in typing, proofing and copying
  • In-House File Management System (FMS)
  • Working with other administrative staff to manage the needs of the Legal Department
