KGS Group is seeking a Junior to Intermediate-Level Project Coordinator to join our team supporting Municipal and multi-disciplinary projects.

The Role
As KGS Group continues to develop strong technical delivery teams, we are looking to support our teams with focused project coordination support. This role would assist with many of the day-to-day project management tasks, assist with scheduling and contract administration, gather and manage priorities, and deliverable tracking for the group. You will be working in a friendly and collaborative environment with the opportunity to interface directly with clients and contractors.
It is anticipated that this individual would work with many of the team leaders within the Municipal group and coordinate with other departments.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Gathering, tracking, and assigning the various tasks and deliverables both external and internal projects for the Municipal group (Primarily in Winnipeg).
- Preparation of project and client progress reporting.
- Monitoring project expenditures, budgets, and reviewing invoices.
- Coordination with various team leads and project managers to determine critical timelines and review timelines.
- Identifying scheduling issues in advance and working with the stakeholders to resolve.
- Preparation of schedules.
- Support business development/marketing and proposal writing efforts.
- Travel to work sites may be required periodically as needed.
About You
To fill the role, we’re looking for an applicant to bring forward a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences. Some highlights could include:
- Education in one or more of the following: A Municipal Engineering Technology Diploma, Completion of the Construction Management Program, or a Project Management Training certificate with credentials and experience as a project administrator or project manager, or equivalent.
- Zero to five years of experience working in a similar roll.
- Experience with project management tools, including MS-Project, P6 etc. is a benefit.
- Working knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel.
- Interest in performing project management roles and tasks, as well as administrative project functions is a plus.
- Working in an area where multi-discipline engineering design has been done would be a benefit.
- Having a drive, attitude, and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Ability to work well with a multi-discipline design team.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with interest in improving client and contractor interaction and relationship building activities.
- Be willing to travel.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks.
