Project Manager
KGS Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team in Saskatchewan. With offices in Regina and Saskatoon, KGS Group is looking for someone in the Regina office who will bring their experience, skills, and interest to this newly formed group.
The Project Delivery group is tasked with both executing project management within and outside KGS as well as developing and improving project management processes, tools, and templates.

The Role
KGS Group's growth strategy includes supporting our technical delivery teams with focused project management support. As part of the Project Delivery Group, this role would assist with project management services related to internal design and project. You will be working in a friendly, fast-paced, and collaborative environment with opportunities to interface with clients, contractors, and KGS leadership. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Project management services related to internal design projects
- Project-Management-for-Hire services such as Owner’s Engineer or Owner’s Advocate roles
- Providing project services support – scheduling, estimating, procurement support, technical administration – to other project managers and internal stakeholders
- Assisting in the development project management tools, templates, and processes
- Writing and issuing project communications: emails, memos, reports, etc.
- Developing or modifying project commercial documents and participating in procurement processes
- Project-related field services such as inspection, auditing, supervision, quality assurance, safety, and contractor management
- Office-related construction services such as invoice review and payment certification, schedule updates, permitting submissions, etc.
- Leveraging both training and experience, provide or coordinate multi-disciplinary technical and constructability review of drawings, specifications, work plans, etc.
- It is not anticipated that the Project Manager will be asked to conduct engineering design and seal deliverables such as drawings, etc. That said, the project manager should have a very strong technical background in engineering and construction so that they can provide value to both internal and external clients in terms of non-design technical advice, drawing review, project scoping, and project execution.
- Provide mentorship to junior project managers, project engineers, project coordinators, and administrative staff
- Provide environmental and safety leadership both externally and internally
- Champion and lead project management-related and/or multidiscipline engineering pursuits
- Assist with project-related business development
- Other tasks as required.
About You
To fill the role, we’re looking for an applicant to bring forward a good mix of qualification and previous experiences. Some highlights could include:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, project engineering, or construction management.
- Must have degree in Engineering (B.Sc.) from recognized college or technologist diploma and suitable experience. Successful candidate should be registered as a P.Eng. in Saskatchewan or carry designations such as ASctT, C.E.T, or equivalent. Engineering disciplines preferred include civil, municipal, structural, geotechnical, water resources, mechanical, industrial, mining.
- Ability to travel and service multiple concurrent project sites within, and possibly outside, Saskatchewan. Absence from base is anticipated to be 1-2 days per week with infrequent week-long periods of resident services on project sites.
- A task-oriented, organized, and self-motivated personality with a demonstrated ability to take ownership of their work, maintain project momentum, and drive projects to completion.
- Strong mentorship skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently, and within tight timelines.
- Strong diplomacy and change-management skills. Ability to distinguish critical from non-critical elements and both communicate and chart a forward path.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
